Where parents plan playdates, straight to your inbox!

Hi everyone!

Happy Friday!  I don't know about y'all, but this week seemed to fly by!  I can't believe it is already Memorial Day, the unofficial kick-off of summer. I have tons of great content to share with you this week, as well as a few new features... content first!

As promised, Financially Savvy Friday returned last week with What is an IRA?  If you don't know already, check out how this tax-advantaged savings vehicle, available to almost anyone, can help your family plan for the future.

Saturday I shared Big M's latest letter formation activity, DIY Tactile Alphabet Cards.  Download your free Alphabet Cards printable here to make your own. These were inspired by an amazing set of books we received for review from Hands-On-Prints.  You can win one in our giveaway, at the end of the book review we shared on Wednesday: Montessori-Inspired Books from Hands-On-Prints.

Monday featured a guest post from one of my mommy friends, who I met on the Playground Parkbench... Learn all about how Deb Got Fit For Summer, and Fit for Life, changing the her own eating habits, as well as those of her whole family.

Tuesday we shared BIG personal news... we found out M3 is going to be A BOY!!! No one is more shocked than we are.  See how we made the big reveal to family and friends on M3's Gender Reveal.  What do you think of our fun new videos?!?

Thursday I hosted my first every blog hop, Tour the World by Flower, featuring 25 flower crafts for kids from bloggers around the world.  It was so much fun to see all the different posts, from as far as Australia and India, featuring all different media and methods for crafting their flowers, with kids of all ages! I also contributed a flower craft, representing the state of Connecticut with the Mountain Laurel.  See how the Ms and I did it with egg cartons, a little paint, some glue and pipe cleaners.

We Love Weekends is out this Friday - don't miss our great features from last week, as well as all the great posts that will be added all weekend!  And if you haven't checked it out yet, don't miss my fun Instagram campaign, supporting the need to let our kids get out and play!  Follow me and check out #kidsneedplay to catch all the great facts and child's play quotes I'll be sharing daily!  I also often share sneak peeks of our daily activities.

Finally, our new feature - Featured Friend of the Week!  Each week I will introduce you to one of my friends, a fellow blogger whose great content you may also enjoy.  This week, I am featuring Sue at  One Time Through.  A therapist, teacher and a mother, Sue shares positive parenting strategies and educational learning experiences for kids.  I love her most recent post: How to Make an Out of this World Flying Saucer - an easy craft, for kids of all ages, that then gets them up, active and playing outdoors!  Take a look around her site, and sign up for great content in her monthly newsletters!
