Summer Reading Kick-Off

On June 12th from 11 am to 1 pm, help us kick off Summer Reading!

Whose Tail? Scavenger Hunt

Can you find all the tails? Get a checklist from the front desk or download your preferred level from our Summer Reading page. When you've found all the animal tails, come back for a sticker.

Storywalk on Main

Check out the latest Storywalk experience on the Library windows through the months of June & July during Summer Reading.

Reading Challenges for All Ages

There is no pre-registration for Summer Reading. Once you have completed your reading challenge requirements, fill out the virtual log each week by clicking HERE.

Early Literacy Reading Challenge

Ages 0-3

Complete at least 5 boxes of your choosing each week, then fill out the online form HERE for credit. Feel free to repeat OR just read 5 books together.

After completing the virtual log, come to the Library within the week with digital or printed proof of your submission to receive an Early Literacy prize.

Kids' Reading Challenge

Ages 4-12 & Ages 13-18

Read 3 hours each week. That's just 30 minutes each day! If you would like a paper log for your own records, click on the link below to download. We will not collect these at the Library.

After completing the virtual log, fill out the online form for credit HERE and come to the Library within the week with digital or printed proof of your submission. You will receive a book tag of your choosing each week.

Adult Mini Bookopoly Reading Challenge

Ages 13-18 & Ages 18+

Summer Reading isn't just for the kids! Adults can complete challenges each week as well with the Mini Bookopoly Challenge. You don't have to complete a novel each week either. Simply mark off challenges as you can and indicate which color you completed for the week.

After completing the virtual log, fill out the online form HERE for credit and come to the Library within the week with digital or printed proof of your submission. You will receive a Scratch-Off  for a prize or you can submit your ticket for an extra entry for the grand prize.

At the end of your reading log, a completion ticket will automatically generate that looks like the ones below. Take a screenshot of your ticket or show us the confirmation email to receive your prize at the reference desk.

Weekly Programs

Mondays - Storytime Craftivity

This is not an in-person activity, but a take-home craft that reinforces the skills learned in Storytime.

Recommended for ages 3 to 6. Available while supplies list. Limit to 1 per child, 5 per family.

Tuesdays - Family Storytime @ 10am & 11am

Beginning on June 15th, we will have limited in-person Family Storytime at 10 am and 11 am on Tuesdays. This is intended for ages 3-6 only, with families no larger than 4 members. Each storytime will require a ticket to enter, which can be collected at the front desk no more than 30-minutes prior.

Families will not be permitted to enter after 10 minutes. 

Unable to attend? No problem! We will still have a virtual storytime at 12 pm the same day. 

Wednesdays - W.O.W. @ 2pm

Registration is required for entry @ 2 pm each Wednesday and limited to 10 people per session. Click HERE to register.

Entrance will not be permitted 10 minutes after program begins.

Thursdays - Be-Tween the Lines @ 2pm

Registration is required for entry @ 2 pm each Wednesday and limited to 10 people per session. Click HERE to register.

Fridays - Tails & Tales Movie

Enjoy movies from the comfort of your own home on Hoopla!

This is not an in-person program.

Saturdays - Family Crafternoon @ 2pm

Tickets are required for entry @ 2pm for in-person program, but also available to as a to-go craft.

Recommended for ages 5 and older. Available while supplies list. Limit to 1 per child, 5 per family.
