A new commission by London-based artists Milo van der Maaden and Imran Perretta who work with video, sculpture and performance. A theatrical script and musical score, devised by van der Maaden and Perretta in collaboration with local LGBTQ community members, is performed
at the Bandstand in Victoria Park.
The work reflects upon the phenomenon of pinkwashing, whereby LGBTQ rights are used to market a so-called liberal attitude of tolerance, serving to further marginalise local minority groups within current anti-immigrant and Islamophobic discourses.

Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance. Please reserve at

6th July 2016 - A huge thank you to Morgan Stanley for all the restoration and paint work they completed on the park railings leading from Gore Gate to St Agnes Gate on the west side of the park. We all agree they have done a wonderful job!

8th July 2016 - A massive thank you to the interns at JP Morgan who spent the day restoring and painting the railings around the rockery (West Park). They have done an amazing job!

22 July 2016 - A big thank you to HSBC Bank who spent a full day weeding and mulching the flower beds around the Old English Garden (East Park). A brilliant job all round! (Pictures above)

29 July 2016 - Many thanks to Deutsche Bank who also spent the day with us at Vicky Park mulching areas of the Old English Garden (East Park), weeding and wood chipping around the borders of the garden and near The Hub Building. What a great team!
We wouldn't be the 'People's Park' without the help of the people!
