Hello!

Last month was a busy month for events here at Victoria Park. We all had an amazing time on 6 August at The Great Day Out and welcomed over 11,000 people to the park. We also hosted our Sports and Healthy Living Day to great success on 24 August and have enjoyed welcoming you all to the park for other events such as our Tree Walks, our regular Gardening Club in the Outdoor Classroom and we even had a live performance on the bandstand hosted by Chisenhale Gallery!

This month sees the return of our Teddy Bear's Picnic on Wednesday 7th September from 12-3pm (see below for booking info). We are looking forward to seeing all our mini park users there! We also have lots of exciting free events coming up to get involved in this September. Get involved!

Corporate Volunteers @ Vicky Park
9th August - A big thank you to HSBC Bank who spent a full day weeding and mulching various flower beds and borders around East Park. We all agree they have done a wonderful job!

10th August - A massive thank you to the 100 interns from UBS Bank who spent the day weeding and restoring the running track on East Park. They have done an amazing job, what a great team!

26 August - A big thank you also to Nomura Bank who spent the day removing weed growth and coppicing basal growth from trees along the fence line of the canal, East Park. A brilliant job all round!

We wouldn't be the 'People's Park' without the help of the people!
