2023 VEX Robotics Competition - Volunteers Needed!

Announcement from SWE:
VEX is back! This year the competition is fierce with 42 teams battling for a spot in the California Central Coast Vex Competition! In coalition with the Cal Poly Society of Women Engineers and San Luis Obispo High School, we are proud to host the California Central Coast Vex Competition on January 21st, 2023 in the ATL, Bonderson, and Engineering Plazas.
If you have any interest in volunteering for this year’s competition, we would love to have you! (Note: If you have any prior experience with volunteering with VEX we encourage you to sign up for a Judge, Inspector, or Referee position!)
Training for Judge, Referee, and Inspector Volunteer positions will be held on the evening of January 20th, 2023

Cal Poly SWE Team Tech Announcement

This is Elizabeth Mentel, I am one of the directors of SWE Team Tech. Team Tech is a competition design team that partners with an industry sponsor, and goes through the engineering design process of a project from start to finish. Currently, we are wrapping up our research and design phase and hope to start building soon! This year, we are working with Boeing on a cabin turnaround robotics system. We are looking for more members, especially those experienced in software and electronics. We would appreciate it if you could share the following blurb with your club!
Team Tech is an interdisciplinary competition design team that goes through the engineering design process of a project from start to finish. We are so excited to be working with Boeing this year on a cabin turnaround robot. We are looking for more members to join our team and help with building the robot. We are also looking for anyone with software and electronic experience to help lead a subgroup! Meetings are Tuesday's at 6:10 PM in 192-0132.

We’ve officially opened applications for the Civic Digital Fellowship and Civic Innovation Corps and are looking for undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in applying their software, data, design, or product skills to some of the most pressing challenges facing our country.

Space Workforce 2030 is a growing coalition of leading space companies committed to collaboratively working toward a shared vision of expanding and diversifying opportunities for talent to join the exciting space industry. The Aerospace Corporation is a proud member of the coalition of companies.
As part of this commitment, the 30 companies of Space Workforce 2030 have pledged to increase the number of diverse applicants and the goal to hire at least 3,000 interns by the summer of 2030.
