Elite Women of Excellence
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
Seventeen years ago, my oldest daughter was invited to participate in a national sorority’s girls mentoring program. As a homeschool mother of three, the invitation was considered an opportunity for our rising high school junior to establish friendships with teenage girls in the community. Yet, after reading the details, I questioned if it was a good fit…months later the Lord fostered a personal desire in me to establish a biblically-based mentoring program, and through the efforts of educating my two daughters in the importance of modesty, purity, and stewardship, I founded Elite Women of Excellence (EWOE). Joined by two of my best girlfriends, we launched the program in August 2002. Two years later, EWOE received tax-exempt status as a 501(c) 3 faith-based nonprofit organization to mentor adolescent girls to achieve standards for success grounded in biblical principles.
Faith-based mentoring works!
EWOE is open to girls grades 6th – 12th. Participants are referred to the organization by other youth-serving organizations, schools, alumni families, and friends. A small percentage find us online. We have mentored nearly 1,400 girls representing 12 metro-Atlanta counties. Program locations are established based on need and opportunity for ministry. Our main location is in Mableton.
