Book now for Civic Tech Surgery #6
|
|
Join us for the final Civic Tech Surgery in the TICTeC Labs series (rescheduled from September) - on Monday 17th October where we'll be discussing the challenges that the civic tech community faces working in hostile environments, from facing everyday government resistance to operating in conflict and post-conflict societies.
What are the challenges in different contexts and how can we support the civic tech community to carry on, collaborate and contribute productively in hostile environments? What can we learn from the use of ‘peacetech’ in conflict and post-conflict societies to tackle common challenges? What is – and isn’t – helpful in supporting civic tech and citizens in hostile environments?
Our panel of discussants includes representatives from Forset (Georgia) and Build Up.

Closing 22nd September: TICTeC Action Lab #4 is looking for an individual, organisation or joint team to produce a piece of work to help the civic tech community improve/strengthen their storytelling and reach and amplify their projects and their successes beyond the civic tech community, through mainstream channels.
