New Event: Youth Challenger Open

Youth Challenger Open

Be the first to win the ABAM Youth Challenger Open! This event has been created as an opportunity for youth developing archers to compete outdoors during the Provincial Target Championships. The event format has been designed to encourage archers with little to no experience shooting competitions. The distance and target size are modified to allow for an easier introduction to outdoor competition, while hosting it side by side with the Provincial Championships. We encourage all beginner and developing shooters 17 & under to participate in this exciting new event in hopes of gaining some experience and potentially winning the $50 cash prize!

2017 Provincial Outdoor 3D Championships

(Click the poster to be linked to the event page for more info)

The 2017 Manitoba Provincial 3D Archery Championships will be held by the South Mountain Archery Shooters & Hunters (SMASH) in Erickson, MB on Sunday July 16, 2017.

There will be free no-service camping available on site for any participants looking to arrive on Saturday.

SMASH is happy to announce the alternate course during the 1st and 2nd rounds of official scoring will be dedicated to non competitive shooters on a drop-in basis. This means so Shot Gun Start (set start time), the only requirement is that participants dropping in be off the course 30 mins prior to competitive shooters starting their second round. Additionally, non recreational shooters will be given yardage information and permitted the use of range finders. So whether you are a competitive 3D Archer looking to compete to be the Manitoba Champion or just want to come out and hone your hunting skills with friends and family, we encourage you to join us and enjoy the course!

The ABAM would like to thank all of the participants, volunteers, affiliate clubs and partners Heartland Archery & D & G Family Archery Range Ltd for for their support in making this tournament series a success in 2017. As results have now been confirmed, congratulations to all of our division winners!

We would like to apologize for the technical error that led to the inability to have an awards presentation at 17 Wing this past Sunday. In order to properly recognize the winners of the inaugural tournament series, we will be presenting medals and prize money to the winners during the Provincial Target Championships at Selkirk on Saturday July 15, 2017. Stay tuned as we will be featuring the awards ceremony in the August Newsletter!

Congratulations again to winners!
