District Partners,
We have been contacted by the TEA to assist in re-evaluating the teacher and student performance standards set for the Teacher Incentive Allotment program.
In order to have access to enough data to set those performance standards, teacher appraisal data needs to be collected from districts across Texas for the observable dimensions of the T-TESS rubric and for a teacher’s rating on student growth.
Due to the sensitive nature of teacher appraisal data and the burden this type of data collection could place on districts, Eduphoria will ensure that:
- Teacher names and unique identification numbers will not be a part of the data (i.e. which teacher the appraisal data belongs to is masked);
- Appraisal data will not be sent to TEA but to Texas Tech University (TTU) and/or TTU’s partner for data analysis; and
- For the sake of efficiency, TTU will work directly with Eduphoria so that each individual district that uses Eduphoria does not have to prepare data and transmit teacher appraisal data files themselves.
This data collection will include masked teacher appraisal data for the last three school years:
- 2019-2020 school year
- 2020-2021 school year
- 2021-2022 school year
If a district would like to send their masked teacher appraisal data for the last three school years to TTU directly, please contact us by emailing support@eduphoria.net and we will ensure your appraisal data is removed from the data set.
