Finding our rhythm...

Last week was the first week of language school for me and tutoring for Betsy. It was a busy and tiring week. I (Trevor) tested into an advanced class that covers materials from both the first and second trimesters. This is a blessing that will hopefully allow me to go deeper and farther into the language while we are here, although my brain was wiped out by the end of the week since there is zero English spoken in my classes. I have already learned so much and am constantly humbled by how far I have to go. Betsy continues to fulfill her primary ministry role in our home through homeschooling the kids and doing all countless other tasks that come along with managing a household of six. She also began her Spanish language tutoring this week at the school. She goes Mondays and Fridays for a total of four hours per week where she works one-on-one with one of the teachers from the language school. I don't know how she does it all! Thus far we are very happy with our teachers which is a great blessing.

Praises and Prayer Requests
  • Praise - The Lord continues to provide for all our needs and we are so thankful for all those praying for us and partnering with us financially. Every part of the team is critical!
  • Praise - We are getting to know our neighbor Cecilia. Lord willing she will come over for coffee this week. Pray we can communicate clearly, have a good friendship with her and that she would come to know the Lord.
  • Prayer Request - That the rest of the student visa process would go smoothly.
  • Prayer Request - Betsy and I would feast on the Word and delight in the Lord's faithfulness, loving-kindness and grace especially in the difficult times.
  • Prayer Request - That everyone in the family would grow in our cultural and language acquisition.
  • Prayer Request - That our entire family would grow in our love for Christ and love for one another.
