Hitting the Ground Running
We have been here in Cusco for seven weeks and the Lord is already opening plenty of doors for ministry. I recently had the opportunity to go with some Peruvian brothers and sisters to an unreached Quechua village a few hours away where my role was to preach a gospel message to the few hundred in attendance. My message in Spanish was translated into Quechua. We all had an amazing time sharing the gospel in various ways and ministering to the physical needs of the people.
Beyond that I had the privilege of preaching the message at the baptism service recently held by our church here and from January 7-14 I will be in Desaguadero, Peru
, on the border of Bolivia (about 12,500 ft elevation). I will be there with a team from Reaching and Teaching training a group of about 30-40 Aymara
pastors who have committed to go through our three year training program. Finally, I will be working with Pastor Jesus Presa on developing and starting a pastoral training institute here in Cusco. We hope to launch this in the first half of 2017.
