- Just in time!-
Hello! :)

I hope this finds you all well! :)

February totally passed me by without me taking the time to put out a newsletter, which was mostly due to me being totally burried in my work on Silicon Heart! But here's a bit of an update on that and a couple of other bits and pieces. :)

I've been doing pretty well at keeping up my new years resolution of draiwng for myself more; here are a couple of equine-esque pics from my personal sketch book. (I included the dear centaur for Linus, my imaginary cheerleading squad! - I hope you dig!) ;)
Silicon Heart Update

My major news for this update is that the artwork I've been making for the first volume of the Silicon Heart graphic novel is now complete! :) The author, Sam Roads, is currently finalising the book before it goes off to the printers, then we're
gearing up for the launch at The Comics Festival in a few weeks time (April 18th, Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, be there! XD )

We'll then be launching a Kickstarter campaign to help us fund production of the rest of the book sometime after that.

A few review copies of the PDF are out with some of the industries most regarded creators and so far feedback has been great!

Mike Carey, author of Lucifer and The Unwritten, had this to say;

"Roads' and Nicholson's touching, heartfelt tale of teenage love and alienation starts out with the particular and becomes universal."

Which is really exciting :)

To keep up to date with the project be sure to "like" the facebook page;

Below are the cover, and some samples of the art inside of Volume 1.

Words of Wisdom Warm-ups

I enjoy finding and sharing quotes and words of wisdom I like with my followers online, and lately I've been taking that idea one step further; by illustrating them! When I'm drawing on a professional project I find I draw better after a "warm-up" sketch, which is usually a bit of nonsense or something that amuses me at the time. Well the following warm-ups have been directly inspired by quotes I've found that day.

If you have a favourite wise quote be sure to send it over, I may even end up using it as inspiration for a warm-up like these! ;)

Drawing for me

As mentioned I've been making more time for personal art this year, my theme of the moment seems to be mermaids! :3  - I've included some of my favourite pics from my sketch book below.
Prints!

I've just treated myself to a new printer and I'm super-please with the quality of it's prints! ^_^ I'm in the process of researching the best kind of store-front for selling prints/originals online but in the mean-time if anyone wants any art prints drop me a line :)

Here's a batch of prints and cards that are ready to be posted out to their buyers! :)
That's all from me for now.. I'm taking some time to catch up with commissions before getting my teeth stuck into Silicon Heart Volume 2!

As always if you have any questions/comments/suggestions please don't hesitate to get in touch! :)

All the best!
