Amazing Story

The most amazing story ever!

Do you have favourite movies that you watch time and time again? Or books that you read over and over? I do! Why is it that we don’t get bored with these stories even though we know the plot, the characters, the well-loved lines, the music and even the ending?  Read more

Month of Prayer

What a month of prayer!

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. (Matthew 18:20)

We were humbled and privileged as many of you contacted us during our prayer month of November to ask us to petition our Heavenly Father on your behalf.

Not only did we receive requests for prayer but we also received stories of people being comforted and guided by the Holy Spirit and given peace and strength to rest in God's goodness. Praise God that he answered prayers - some in unexpected ways! Read more

PeaceWise hubs

Till we meet again.... next year!

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.  (Colossians 2:2-3)

We had our very last hub meeting for 2016 on 1 December but plans are already being made for hub meetings next year.  These times of fellowship, learning and corporate prayer are wonderful times of encouragement for us all to continue in the work of peacemaking and a way of uniting us in love. Here are some hub dates to put into your calendar if you live in the Gold Coast, Belrose (Sydney) or Perth! More dates will be published soon - so check our website for a hub meeting near you!  If you have never been to a hub or want to know more, have a look here or send us an email with your question.

1 February 2017 - Gold Coast (Robina)
23 February 2017 - Covenant (Belrose - Sydney)
28 February 2017 - Rehoboth  (Southern Suburbs - Perth)
2 March 2017 - Woodvale (Northern Suburbs - Perth)

New peacemaking courses being developed for 2017 and beyond

In response to the feedback we receive after our training events and also because we want to ensure that our training continually meets the needs of those attending, we have embarked on re-creating all our training courses.  To this end it is with great anticipation and excitement that we announce the development of the first of these courses - two new personal peacemaking courses (replacing the current one day Personal peacemaking course). These two new one day courses are called, Everyday Peacemaking and The Heart of Peacemaking.  Read more

Speaking of 2017 ...

Welcome to Deborah!

We want to welcome Deborah Bensted to the PeaceWise team. Deborah is joining us as the Minutes Secretary to our National Board. Deborah has studied at Morling College and has experience in leadership, training, and as a Community Carer in Anglican Retirement Villages.
Although new to the PeaceWise team, serving people in conflict is something that Deborah is has experienced in in pastoral care and now even more so as a peacemaker. She has fast become a passionate PeaceWise advocate and not only seeks to live as a peacemaker but also promotes PeaceWise training and assists people to reconcile through PeaceWise mediations.  Deborah currently lives in Sydney and is a member of All Saints Anglican Church at Balgowlah, where she serves in various ministry capacities. From Bruce

The highlight for the last month was definitely our month of prayer.   We had 98 prayer requests across the country and overseas, and we prayed for each one.  God did some amazing work, including even answering a prayer of more than a decade for a family member to come to Christ!   It has been our privilege to walk with you in this way.

As 2017 looms, we continue to press on with your support with our major projects - PeaceWiseKids and our course rewrite programme - as well as our ongoing training and mediation work.

We send you our warmest wishes for joy and especially peace at Christmas,

God bless you!

Bruce and all the team at PeaceWise
