Chairman's Corner

As autumn kicks in, so does a flurry of business activity. Many companies are gearing up for the holiday season - staffing, stocking and beginning a push to the final quarter of their business season. The Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce is no different. In September we hosted a business seminar that showed attendees how they could save 7.5% on their worker’s compensation insurance premiums.  In October, Mr. Jay Gipson, with The Gipson Company, will share his experience on the present and future development plans for the City of Brookhaven. In December, the Brookhaven and Chamblee Chambers will co-host a luncheon featuring Dekalb County CEO’s, Michael Thurmond.

All of these are excellent opportunities for our members to stay informed, network to grow their businesses and invite new interest in the Chamber.  These are merely some examples of our sincere commitment to advocate for and promote successful businesses in Brookhaven. Your involvement and participation in the Chamber is appreciated and encouraged.
Please make yourself seen and heard on what you would like YOUR chamber do for you.
Jay Groundwater
Chairman of the Board

Join the Brookhaven Chamber for a fascinating look at the City's present and future development plans from Jay Gipson, of The Gipson Company. Born and raised in Brookhaven, Jay joined the family business after graduating from The University of Alabama.  Items to be discussed include:
  • How the new retail, office and millennial influx will change what development will look like.
  • What emerging patterns are changing traditional thinking, and what impacts those changes will have on Brookhaven and the adjoining communities.
  • What are the opportunities that make a community pro-growth and what limits them.
Please join us for the pre-race food truck event Friday, October 20. This event will be a great time. Bring friends, neighbors and family and enjoy:
  • Great food
  • Draft Beer
  • Live music by the Trey Boyer Band.
