2019 is here! Your Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce has many changes occurring. Jay Groundwater is stepping down as Chairman, after three years of incredible service to the Chamber and the City. Jay has been a tremendous help and support to Barbara and me. Now we are looking forward to Chairperson Nancy Plesnarski picking up where Jay left off. Joining Nancy is Jim Fenney as Vice-chair. Nancy and Jim have already made many plans for 2019.
We also have several new board members and we appreciate their “stepping up”, as we do those who are leaving after years of hard work.
Many exciting events are being planned, beginning with our January breakfast at Delta Life, featuring Dean Kelly from Oglethorpe University’s School of Business, as our main speaker.
We are glad to have Renee Areng as the first director of the new Brookhaven Convention and Visitors Bureau. Renee is already hard at work. December was the month that we broke ground on the new Peachtree Creek Greenway. You can see all the details in the latest Brookhaven Reporter.
