Presidential News

In December of 2012 The City of Brookhaven was officially incorporated.  Nestled between Buckhead and Chamblee; the quiet residential city quickly blossomed into a dynamic destination for trendy shops and restaurants.  Soon development on multi-family dwellings and live-work areas was booming. Brookhaven’s close proximity Marta’s Rapid Transit and all of the major interstates makes it the ideal location to live, work and play.

The Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce was formed in late 2012 as well. We take tremendous pride in our continued mutual support of the City of Brookhaven and the Brookhaven Police Department.  The Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce wants all businesses to know – We are here as a resource for you.  Join the Chamber today. info@Brookhavencommerce.org

The Salvation Army is providing critical resources to those affected by the terrible impact of Hurricane Harvey. The Salvation Army is also responding to Hurricane Irma as it affects those living in the Caribbean and the United States. These efforts will be ongoing and for the long term.

The Salvation Army does not place an administrative fee on disaster donations.  If you donate and designate to Hurricane 2017 (Harvey OR Irma) 100 percent of the gift will be used in support of that event.  It may be used to provide food and drinks to survivors, cleaning supplies and other essential commodities, direct financial aid to those effected, or to support disaster relief workers serving in these areas.

Please help The Salvation Army provide food, shelter, medical resources, financial assistance and more to those so desperately in need.

'Paint the Park' at Blackburn!

Artists of all ages and skill levels are invited to “Paint the Park” at Blackburn Park on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m

To illustrate the importance of civic art, completed pieces will be displayed in the park near Ashford Dunwoody Road until the event closes. The winning pieces will then be on display at City Hall. Art supplies and paper will be provided, but artists can bring their own easel and canvas. Cool treats and prizes will also be part of the fun.

We invite everyone to come out and be inspired by Blackburn Park’s beautiful natural surroundings,” said District 1 Councilwoman Linley Jones.

Blackburn Park is located at 3493 Ashford Dunwoody Road.
