HAPPY SPRING! Spring is so beautiful here in Penang with the Tecoma Sakura trees in full blossom. Cats are thrilled that Cat Root (Acalypha Indica) is in bloom! Busy days at Cat Beach Sanctuary now that it is open again after closing for RMCO in February. Paws and whiskers crossed that you and yours are safe and well - and will come visit the cats soon!

Kitten Season is upon us again with momcats birthing on the streets -- many in need of rescue. Please spay/neuter your cats and your neighborhood strays!

OPERATION SNIPSNIP IS BACK IN SERVICE! Thanks to the partnership between Cat Beach Sanctuary and the Windsor Animal Hospital, more than 300 cats have been given spay/neuter surgeries at a great discount! Learn more on the website at

Look for the new Donation Boxes thanks to Ms. Bee and the Kooching Cat Hotel which will be distributed to veterinary clinics, pet shops, and other places.

Please also consider donating directly to the Cat Beach Veterinary accounts at Cuddles Animal Hospital or Windsor Animal Hospital.

The reality is that we just cannot in good conscience let cats die on the street so Cat Beach too often must be responsible for bills for cats that have never even been to the beach! Or tragically, never make it there. Meantime, every CB cat needs health monitoring, parasite treatments, vaccinations and age appropriate sterilizations at 6 months or older. Lots of kittens growing up and will need their snipsnip soon!

Donations in Malaysian ringgit can also be made to the crowdfunding site at Most other currencies (US, SGD, AU, UK, Euro, etc.) can be sent through PayPal at

The Cat Beach Cats are also so grateful to the kind donors who have promised monthly support at Having dependable monthly income is crucial to sustaining the cats' care at the sanctuary.

In Malaysia, donors also may deposit to the CIMB Bank # 7063481337 (in the name of the former president of the Cat Lovers International Society, Mr Mohd Iqbal bin Zainal). Inquire if you would like to give support through a US bank.

Currently, the Cat Beach budget averages RM 5000 (USD $1,200) per month for veterinary bills. Sanctuary expenses run about RM 5000 per week, RM 20,000  per month (USD $5,000 dollars) for the cats' care for a total of RM 6200 to RM 7000 per month for basic expenses. Any additional funds gifted mean renovations and improvements can go forward - dreams do come true thanks to cat lovers!

Every sen (cent) makes a difference for the cats!

Spring is the time of renewal - a fresh new start. Here's hopes for a brighter, better future for everyone - furry and fur-less!

Meowy thanks from the Cat Beach Cats!

With all best wishes for 2021!
Teviot (co-Founder) and the CB Team and Cats!
