I had the wonderful luck of chatting with Tippy at a gathering called The Feast; she was there bringing her BirdProject soaps to more people, in support of environmental cleanup and care for animals affected by the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill. A number of times since she's gone out of her way to support my own work, fully embodying New Orleans humility and camaraderie.

I was once in charge of a search for young entrepreneurs in universities across the country; Matt threw his hat into the ring, having already prototyped Walk [Your City] at his alma matter in Raleigh. I bumped into him a couple years later, as he was helping a burgeoning Made in Lower East Side get their feet on the ground. And I now saw his work pop up last week in The Atlantic's CityLab, making big news. He's the kind of guy who just stays at it—it's likely we'll see his work come up somewhere smart again soon. 

Kim and I stood on the same stage a couple years ago, each under the pressure of delivering an insightful (hopefully!) 5-minute speech to a very smart audience. Since that time I've watched her pioneer an innovative life of artistry built on co-creation with entirely supportive fans. All of whom I assume are as entranced as I am by incredibly smart initiatives like the Infinite Minute.
