Richards Media Lab Benefactor

This year, the LLC received a generous $100,000 donation from Frances Hess Richards to create a media center. The Richards Media Lab, found in LLC 107, boasts listening stations, CDs, art software, drawing tablets, and even an electronic piano.  For more information about Mrs. Richards' wonderful donation, see Christine Fullerton's article. How Do I Read This MAP?

The Master Academic Plan (MAP) is the cornerstone for Academic planning at CSC, and the LLC webpage is the designated repository for detailed MAP information. The MAP page on the LLC website contains valuable information about MAP priorities, roles & responsibilities, planning, and tracking. For more information about how to navigate the MAP page, see Christine Fullerton and Pam Newberg's joint article. [Read More].
Student Assistant Shout-out

The library simply could not function without the assistance of our outstanding student assistants. During the school year, we hire about a dozen students to help with library functions including checking in/out and shelving books, processing journals, and assisting with Interlibrary Loan. For more information, and to hear some of the student assistants' thoughts on the LLC, see Shawn Hartman's article. [Read More].
Legal Aid Nebraska Provides Self-Guided Kiosk

Thanks to the work of Justice Studies Professor Lisette Leesch and Legal Aid of Nebraska, the LLC now has a self-guided legal aid kiosk. The kiosk, located next to the law library on the second level, provides legal assistance concerning landlord/tenant issues and creditor/debtor issues. For more information, check out Matthew Perrie's article. [Read more].
Rotating Book Roundup

Thirty-two rotating books have been added, including Fire This Time: A New Generation Speaks About Race, Cyber Effect: A Pioneering Cyberpsychologist Explains How Human Behavior Changes Online, Gardener and the Carpenter: What the New Science of Child Development Tells Us About the Relationship Between Parents and Children, and Age of Bowie . For a complete list, see Pam Newberg's article. [Read More].
Extended Hours

The library will be open extended hours for Finals Week and the week prior to give students extra time to study for the end of term. For specific hours, please see the LLC's Hours page.
