The Commoner is the Library Learning Commons' monthly newsletter. It's delivered to in-boxes across the Chadron State College community and is designed to connect our patrons to LLC activities and events as well as recommend useful academic resources and research strategies through a variety of social media.

All the News That's Fit to Print

Over the summer, the LLC purchased on online subscription to The New York Times. Anyone with a or email address can access both current and back issues of The Times. New Books

After Harry Switched On the infamous Siddhartha’s Brain, he taught him Seven Brief Lessons on PhysicsHow to Eat in the Woods, and Algorithms to Live By. The lessons were Disrupted when Siddhartha suddenly asked, “What Happened, Miss Simone?”

ILL Now Free for Students

Starting this semester, the LLC will offer Interlibrary Loan services to students free of charge. We are excited to expand the research possibilities for CSC students through this initiative. For more information, check out Christine Fullerton's article. [Read more]
Learning Center Coordinator

The LLC is excited to have a new neighbor. Leah Reed is the new Project Coordinator for the Learning Center. Before coming to CSC, Leah worked as a school psychologist. Graves Lectures

The Graves Lecture Series is moving to a new time. Starting this semester, the lectures will move up an hour to 6 pm. This Fall's lectures will be announced soon on the LLC's Activities & Events page
