These are a "few of my favorite things".
The end of winter and the first days of Spring in the Pacific Northwest sparks creative endeavors that revolve around the pursuit of fine art photography.
- Twice a year close to "Equinox", if the horizon sky is clear, you could experience and photograph the sun settling down on the distant western horizon directly under the Deception Pass Bridge.
- Weather conditions around Mt. Baker are a little more agreeable. Snowshoeing into Artist Point can get you huffing and puffing on the uphill climb. The stunning views become your reward on a good day. A sculptured "Drift" of snow can become a work of art.
- My thoughts of summer visits to the San Juan Islands start to build. I am getting our boat ship shape for visits. Summer anchorage and a Margarita or 2 linger in the not too distant agenda, providing we don't have a "Postponed Departure".
