Theodora Park is ‘ready for its close-up.’ The wonderfully talented Julia Lynn has photographed the park. Until her images are ready, you’ll have to settle for my snapshots.
The Finishing Touches
The delicate wrought-iron gate designed and made by Philip Simmons has been installed upon a handsome base designed by Jim Thomas.
The benches and chairs have arrived! The park has two versions of the benches: one with and one without a back. And the tables and chairs are each silkscreened with the Theodora Park logo.
Paul Heroux’s magical tiles are the stars of the show. The fountain pool shimmers. The tiles take on different hues throughout the day and evening.

Mayor Joe Riley will officially dedicate Theodora Park at 10:30am on Saturday, June 6. Already, people are enjoying the park. Many thanks to all who have made it possible – through their hard work and generous support.
Theodora Park’s website – www.TheodoraPark.com – will launch by June 6. This will be the first park in Charleston to have its own website, as well as its own presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
