Millennials: the Next Generation
Millennials are getting a lot of attention lately and rightly so. As the rising generation of consumers, they have a different perspective and approach to life, which is re-shaping and influencing the way we work, live and play.
Aged 18 – 35, the generation of Millennials (also known as Gen Ys) is already bigger than baby boomers globally, and by 2020 will represent 50% of the global workforce. In Australia, they represent 23% of the total population.
Their influential power is already evident with disruptive sharing economy businesses like Airbnb and Uber and they are redefining the workplace with the rise of collaborative co-working hubs.

RMIT INTERN PROGRAM
RMIT University is looking to Melbourne’s visitor industry to recruit Business student interns in the areas of Marketing, IT, Logistics, Finance and Accounting.
Interns would undertake their placements in a full-time role in your business, for a minimum of eight months in the third year of their four-year degree.
VISITABILITY CASE STUDY: MOONLIT SANCTUARY
When Moonlit Sanctuary opened in 2001, management were aware of obligations to provide visitor aids like ramps and disabled toilets, all of which were incorporated into the design of the Moonlit Sanctuary Visitor Centre.
Beyond that, concepts such as accessible facilities were scary for a new small business struggling to establish itself and with limited funds available.
