WOW...Encore presentation to all who missed it last year, and for all who want to hear Bob Bunderson speak to us again!
Bob has been flying out of FNL for 30 years and has an incredibly interesting and varied past. Join us as we learn about and discuss with him his 20 years in the Navy, the different planes and missions he flew, as well as his transition into flight instruction and FAA Safety Inspector. He brings a wealth of inside FAA insight to us in an open and enlightening dialog. And now he's a GA pilot...one of us. Crossed over from the dark side, in his words.
AND... a delicious variety of free fresh Subway Sandwiches and cold soft drinks starting at 6:30 PM in the Jet Center Main Hangar. See you there!
Remote Tower Update
- Location: FNL jetCenter Hangar
- Time: 6:30 pm for light food followed by the presentation at 7:00 pm.
- James Hays
The remote tower
is continuing to move forward, but has seen some delays and unforeseen needs. The FAA has given the project a thumbs up for site acceptance (Phase 0.b) and is now working towards Phase 1. The original estimate of late Spring to bring ATC services online has a new estimate for September.

Denver Metroplex Updates
- James Hays
The FAA is continuing to move forward with the Denver Metroplex plans and have provided public access
to their proposals. Of particular interest is the Display Boards (pdf
- 30mb) where you can see the changes to arrival and departure proposals. The largest impact to the Northern Colorado area will be the new PINNR and BRNKO arrivals. BRNKO will be replacing the existing PUFFR route. It doesn't appear that these arrivals will carry much DEN traffic, but APA traffic will start much further north than it currently does. We'll continue to keep an eye on this, but unfortunately, there has been little real opportunity for input.
