Remote Tower Updates
Hello <<First Name>>,

The days are getting cooler here and there, a sure sign that fall is around the corner.

Our August pilots refresher course will be replaced by a BBQ on August 24th beginning at 11:30. Bring the family and enjoy the comradery of your fellow aviation enthusiasts.

On September 26 we'll host representatives from the FNL Airport and the Colorado Division of Aeronautics to discuss the current issues impacting the airport, including the latest tower updates.

October 24th's will be an evening with Neil Schall, a Berthoud resident who spent several years with the Blue Angels.

The FNL jetCetner is still looking for volunteer victims for the semi-annual airport emergency response drill October 2nd from 7:30 to 12:00. It will give you an up-close idea of how the airport and the local fire departments would respond to a would-be emergency. Contact Deb at the jet center or email her at manager@fnljetcenter.com or call her at 970-667-2574 for more information or to volunteer.

Airport Updates

Remote Tower
The remote tower project has entered the hiring phase!  Well, sort of.  The FAA is accepting bids for controllers.  Once this process is complete, the new controllers will undergo a 30-day regional training to familiarize themselves with our area, the same as they do at traditional towers.  Once this training is complete, Phase 1 of the Tower Operations will commence.

Northern Training Area
We submitted our members' feedback regarding the proposed training areas, but have not yet heard back on any updated plans.  We'll continue to monitor keep everybody up to date as we know more.

Master Plan Update
The Airport Master Plan is in active development.  If you'd like the latest and greatest news, please visit the FlyNoCo.com Master Plan Website for the latest information.  The next open house regarding the Master Plan is looking to be in either September or October.  We'll send out additional information as it becomes available.  Click here to submit feedback on the master plan.
