24th Sunday in Ordinary Time
September 13  -  September 19

The scriptures this weekend remind us that forgiveness is measured by its quality more than its quantity. There is a temptation to quantify forgiveness as Peter tried to do, but we are called instead to be radically merciful, just as God is with us. If we seek and allow God's forgiveness to transform us, the graces received in the sacrament of reconciliation can help us in turn to be endlessly forgiving to others. Otherwise, the actions of the servant in the parable serve as a warning; if we hoard God's mercy while showing no mercy to others, we risk forfeiting the effects of God's mercy in our own lives.

*NOTE: There will be a collection for Saint Vincent De Paul at both Masses this weekend*
