5th Sunday of Easter
May 2 -  May 8

The Lord’s words in the Gospel passage for today speak about what Easter has accomplished: a new human community, that takes birth from the Spirit and is filled with the very life of the Risen Christ. We all descended from Adam on a natural level; we all are built into Christ on the supernatural level. He is the new Adam, and Easter began the new humanity, victorious over the grave and sharing the life that lasts forever.

BABY SUPPLY DRIVE
Mother's Day Weekend, May 8th & 9th

Birthright of Charleston, a crisis pregnancy center located in West Ashley, offers pro-life support, completely free and confidential, to women who find themselves in a crisis pregnancy. Unfortunately the COVID-19 crisis has severely depleted their life-saving funds and supplies, and so Saint Clare will hold a supply drive for them over May 8th and 9th. To help with their important work, please consider bringing the following items with you to Mass, to donate to Birthright: maternity clothes, newborn to 6 month old size clothing, diapers for newborn to size 2, wipes, baby toiletries, and infant toys.

If you wish to support Birthright monetarily, you can donate:
  1. Online via PayPal through our website at www.birthrightofcharleston.org
  2. Mail your check to Birthright of Charleston, P.O. Box 30191, Charleston, SC 29407
  3. Visit their office at 1365 Ashley River Road and drop your donation through the mail slot in the front door.
  4. Use Smile.Amazon.com when you do your shopping online with Amazon and select Birthright of Charleston as your preferred charity.
  5. Amazon gift cards to be used to purchase brand new infant car seats for clients.
Birthright of Charleston is also in need of your gift of time, with immediate openings for a secretary and marketing coordinator to join their board of directors and volunteers to work with clients. Training will be provided! Please send inquiries to birthrightofcharelston@gmail.com.
Please know that the whole staff of Saint Clare of Assisi is praying for YOU!
We miss seeing each and every one of you, and can't wait to be reunited in person again.
If we can be of service in any way during these stressful times, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via phone, zoom, or email.
