October 3 - October 9, 2021
October is Respect Life Month
In October, the Catholic Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month, and the first Sunday of October is designated as Respect Life Sunday. To support these annual observances, the USCCB Secretariat of Pro-Life Activities provides materials to help Catholics understand and value the gift of human life and help build a culture that cherishes and protects it. Click here for resources and prayers.

The Year of Saint Joseph
As the faithful protector of both Jesus and Mary, we find in Saint Joseph a profound reminder of our own call to welcome, safeguard, and defend God’s precious gift of human life. Dear Saint Joseph, help us to imitate your faithful trust and courage.

  • RESPECT LIFE MONTH: Begin a Spiritual Adoption. By participating in a Spiritual Adoption, you pledge to pray for nine months for a baby in danger of abortion. Mix it up, say a simple prayer, recite the Rosary or say a Chaplet, attend Adoration, fast, volunteer at a women's shelter - anything so to remember 'your child' and pray for his or her protection. While this child will remain unknown to you, their ‘spiritual parent’, God knows who the child is. Naming ‘your child’ helps to keep focused on the reality that your prayers are helping to save a particular baby from abortion. Then in nine months, have a birthday party celebrating the hope and belief that 'your child' was born safely. Please remember the moms and dads while you're at it!

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for small groups so far! We're working on matching up parishioners with similar interests and availability.

If you haven't signed up yet, please complete the Small Group Interest Form as soon as possible. Small groups provide the opportunity to grow in faith and friendship with others who want to become better disciples of Jesus Christ. Groups can consist of couples, singles, men, women, young adults, or seniors. They can focus on study, prayer, discipleship, or a mix of all three. They can meet on an ongoing basis or for a limited period, such as 4 to 6 weeks. Let us know what kind of group will meet your needs, and we'll help you find the right group or form a new one. Sign up today for small groups!
