
The Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action ("The Alliance") envisions a world in which children are protected from abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence in humanitarian settings. Its mission is to support the efforts of humanitarian actors to achieve high-quality and effective child protection interventions in both refugee and non-refugee humanitarian contexts.
This Feb 2021 edition summarizes Alliance efforts to protect children and equip child protection actors in humanitarian settings.

The Children Affected by Armed Forces and Armed Groups Task force has been hard at work with the launch of The Technical Note on Girls Associated with Armed Forces and Armed Groups, now available in English, French and Spanish and Arabic. The CAAFAG Task Force has also organized two webinars on the Technical Note on Girls Associated with Armed Forces and Armed Groups, in both French and English.

In exciting news, the AME Working Group is busy finalizing the Child Well-Being Measurement Framework and Contextualization Guide and Training Package. This Guide presents the global definition of child well-being and the measurement framework as well as the contextualization process.

Drafted in collaboration with WHO, this UNICEF document on “Children, Isolation and Quarantine: Preventing Family Separation and Other Child Protection Considerations during the COVID-19 Pandemic” aims at assisting Child Protection and Health actors to preserve family unity as the pandemic continues, in line with recommended infection prevention and control measures for the COVID-19 disease.

The Resource and Support Hub (RSH) has developed a series of five online training modules called Safeguarding Matters, that are free and accessible. The modules tell the story of a fictional civil society organisation called Family Health Frontiers (FHF). Over the five modules, learners join the FHF team as they seek to become a safer organisation and navigate safeguarding challenges. The RSH is pleased to announce that Module 1 is out now in English!
