"The Young Actors Group is an extraordinary find in a sea of Brighton groups - you're the best!"
Happy Half Term - Spring is Coming!
'We've had some fantastic guest directors in already with Ralph Hinton lined up after the break. With an entire term dedicated to screen acting, we can't wait to put technique into practice during the next few weeks as we film scenes and monologues. Well done everyone!'
WEST END GYPSY!
Henry, who attends our Monday seniors class and is a member of our agency, has been cast to play the role of Newsboy in the West End production of Gypsy.
The experienced ex-Emmerdale actor gave us a wonderful insight into working on a television set whilst introducing concepts like, 'Hitting Your Marks' and 'Repetition.'
Ellie Collyer-Bristow
The way Ellie worked with the young actors on audition technique was a total joy to behold!
She was hugely encouraging, fun and an inspiration to all in the room!
ELLIE'S TOP 5 CASTING TIPS
1. Be as familiar as you can be with the material but don’t feel that you have to learn it by heart unless you have been specifically asked to.
2. Remember to listen to and watch the person you are reading in with - it helps us to see more of you and places you firmly in the scene.
3. Don’t be scared to ask questions if something doesn't make sense - we are here to help you do your best.
4. Be creative in your choices and commit 100% to them.
5. Most importantly enjoy yourselves!
