Jake Pyne, 2014 scholar, has been named one of Toronto’s six queer heroes this year for his advocacy for trans health. +

Six community members appointed to the Order of Canada

Foundation member John English and 2012 mentor Roberta L. Jamieson have been promoted Officers of the Order of Canada. Appointed direcly to the rank of Officers were chairman of the board John McCall MacBain and 2011 fellow John McGarry. 2016 mentor Marie Wilson and 2014 mentor Glenda Yeates were appointed members. +

Alanis Obomsawin, 2009 mentor, has been promoted to Grand Officer and Laure Waridel, 2011 scholar, has been appointed a Knight of the Order of Québec. +
