Ongoing GCSE courses

We have GCSE courses in English, Maths and Science. We teach GCSE level skills, not one particular exam board.  Sessions are fortnightly and in 'off' weeks, students can study work suggested by the tutor or work independently. Students email the tutor questions and queries, which are answered personally or woven into the next session, as appropriate.
Creative writing will run on Thursday evenings from 7pm-8pm.
The group is open to all ages and resources and input will be differentiated appropriate to stage.
The cost is £36 for 6 weeks.

Book Clubs

Book Clubs run for KS2 and KS3/4. Although we operate a "stage not age" policy in our groups, parents need to be aware that books in the KS2 group will be more emotionally suited to children between 7 and 11 and from 11-16 in the KS3/4 group. There is always a choice of books to ensure that a book of the right content and style can be found.
Thematic poetry will run on a Monday evening from 6pm-7pm
The group is open to all ages and will include resources differentiated to individuals as appropriate.
The cost is £36 for 6 weeks.
Maths and Science run on alternate Wednesdays from 8pm-9pm; English runs every other Friday from 11.30-12.30
The cost is £12 per fortnight.

Creative Writing

I am running a creative writing series looking at ideas generation, the creative process, planning, drafting and writing.  Sessions will look at how to write creatively and how to draft and edit in order to improve your ideas. By the end of the series each student will have at least one short story completed short story.
Book Club is 3 Skype sessions and 3 activity emails.
Skype sessions run on alternate Fridays with KS2 from 9am-10am & KS3/4 from 10.15am-11.15am
The cost is £18 for 6 weeks.

Thematic Poetry

A theamtic approach to poetry.  Each week we will read a range of poems on a particular theme. We will then take time to discuss the poems and then analyse the poems, and/or create our own on the same themes to share.  The idea behind this course is to take time to share and enjoy a wide range of poetry, for fun.
