USDA Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS) is hosting a series of webinars to help farmers, producer groups, and other potential applicants understand the grant application process, program purposes, eligibility, and application requirements.

Farm Agronomic Practices Grant

The Farm Agronomic Practices (FAP) Program provides up to $8,000 to farms to implement soil-based agronomic practices that improve soil quality, increase crop production, and reduce erosion and agricultural waste discharges. Eligible practices for FAP payments include: rotational grazing, cover cropping, conservation crop rotation, conservation tillage, no till pasture and hayland renovation, manure injections, and educational/instructional activities.

On-Farm Slaughter/Raw Milk Q&A

In preparation for the on-farm slaughter and raw milk forum, the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets is offering the ability to submit questions in advance.

Please use the form to enter your question(s) about selling raw milk or engaging in on-farm slaughter. Both pre-submitted and live questions will be addressed during the forum.

Food System Plan Workshops

Join a workshop designed especially for local community food and farm advocates to dive into the Farm to Plate Agriculture and Food System Strategic Plan 2021-2030. After this workshop, you will understand how it relates to your community/professional work and how to use it to advance that work through background research, strategic decisions, grant applications, and building impactful relationships. Register to attend on either May 26 at noon or May 27 at 6 PM.
