Come jump in on tasks to advance projects to make our community better.
Saturday Schedule | June 4 | 10am-4pm
• 10-10:45am - Kickoff & Project Sprint Pitches: We will hear from the two existing, documented projects below, and then open the floor for other project ideas. The focus of the event is on advancing existing projects but we always encourage new projects and passions! If you'd like to pitch, please come a little early and try to document how people could help with your project before Saturday.
• 11am - 3:30pm - SPRINTS - AKA, Break out work groups. The Sprint Leads will get you going. Follow the project links below to the existing lists of tasks for each type of contributor: Citizen, Designer, Front End, Back End, Data Wrangler.
• 11am - 12pm: Civic Hacking 101: For those new to this whole civic tech thing. Consider this an open meeting with Red Hat's Jason Hibbetts and City of Durham's Laura Beidiger. More background on Code for America, demos of some local civic apps created in the community. And sign up for a community app user testing group!
