Food Roots' North Coast Grown
Farmer Feedback - for grant reporting and to inform future projects
As this 1.5 year grant project comes to a close (at the end of this month, November 2015) Food Roots needs to report to our grant funders, at the USDA and Oregon Department of Agriculture, on what we accomplished with the North Coast Grown project.
Food Roots is also seeking funding for future North Coast Grown projects that would help support farmers in Tillamook County, so your feedback and comments are very useful to us in evaluating what worked best and what we can try doing differently.
Please take a few minutes now to respond.

A note from Emily Vollmer:
My contract with Food Roots will be finished at the end of this month. It's been just wonderful to meet and work with so many of you. Best of luck in all of your endeavors. I'll still be in the area even after my contract ends with Food Roots' North Coast Grown project. Among other things I'm the new Manzanita Farmers Market Manager and I have my own market garden started. I look forward to staying in touch with Food Roots and many others of you that I've met through this project. Thank you!!
End-of-Project Survey due by Nov. 17. 2015

North Coast Farmer Retreat
January 2016, Tillamook County location
The second annual Coastal Farmer Retreat will be taking place in January. Last year's event brought together Tillamook County commercial growers to share successes, challenges, and help inspire each other for the upcoming season. This year's event will build on last year's success to provide a fun and helpful day of networking with other farmers and enjoying this beautiful coast we call home. The event will be a one day retreat on a Saturday in January for coastal commercial farmers and ranchers who sell customer-direct. Keep an eye out for further details soon.
If you are interested in participating or helping to organize this event, please contact
