Teams and training
The winter show jumping dates are:
Sat 30 Jan: Intermediate show jumping at Summerhouse EC (95cm+)
Sun 31 Jan: Novice show jumping at Summerhouse EC (80cm+)
Sun 28 Feb: Senior intermediate dressage at Leyland Court (teams consist of 1 prelim rider, 2 novice riders and 1 elementary rider. There is also an individual medium test)
Contact Gemma if you're interested in taking part in show jumping or Vikki if you'd like to take part in dressage.
We also need helpers for the dressage on 28 Feb, please email f you can help out.
Team training
We're running a team jumping training session on the 16th January. There is also a dressage test riding session on the 7th February. Please contact Sue or Vikki you'd like to join any of these sessions.
Hat tagging
For 2016 all members will have to have their hats tagged with a new orange label before competing in any BRC qualifiers or championships. This is because the hat standards are changing. We're trying a new venue on the 6 February Show jump rally with Simon Jobbins. Cross Farm at Stone House, Glos. The venue includes and outdoor arena with Martin Collins surface with a complete course of British Showjumping, and a large indoor school. There will be four sessions starting at 60cm.
SVRC dressage series
We'll be running a dressage series at Burrow's Farm starting on 6 March to raise money for Sallyanne Haige. More information to follow in the New Year.
Rally spaces by email
We use the Severn Vale Riding Club Facebook group to advertise last minute rally spaces that become available. If you do't have access to Facebook, or don't use it regulary, but would still like to be notified about these spaces, send an email to svrcrallies@hotmail.co.uk.
Renewal membership closes 31 December
Renewal membership closes on 31st December. You'll need to renew your membership if you want to continue to benefit from the club's activities. Membership enables you to take part in rallies, member's shows and camp. Renewal membership costs £23 (+50p if paying by Paypal). Renew online >>
