Hoofprint October 2014

Welcome to your new look newsletter

New year, new look. We've introduced a new enewsletter so we can keep you up-to-date with what's going on more regularly. In this issue you'll find a list of upcoming rallies, an update from the AGM and a reminder to renew your membership if you haven't already. We hope you like it!

Upcoming rallies

We've got the following rallies happening up to Christmas. If there's something you'd like to do, contact Holly to see if there's space. Once your space is confirmed you can make payment from the website using a Paypal account.

If you don't have Paypal, you can send a cheque to Holly - her details can be found on the rally booking form which you can download from the rallies page >>

Sat 8 November: Grid Work at Leyland Court with Kate Scott

A huge well done to the eight riders who travelled up to the National Championships in Lincoln last month to represent the club in the intermediate show jumping and riding test.

The riding test team did superb, coming 8th overall out of a very big final. The show jumpers took a few poles, but were all thrilled to bits all have gotten round a very long and challenging course, twice.

We're always encouraging our members to take part in team competitions. We've just updated the teams area of the website so you can find all the information you need to take part. You can find a list of disciplines and competitions, teams rules, training and upcoming events.

If you're interested in taking part there's an online form to fill in to tell us what you'd like to get involved with. Visit the team pages for more information >>
AGM and committee

Following last month's AGM Eliza George and Kathryn Hannam stepped down from the committee. We thank them for all the help over the past year - they've left some big shoes to fill!

The good news is we've welcomed two new faces to the committee, Nicci Cunningham and Alison Brown. We look forward to working with them.

Information about roles and responsibilities can be found on the contacts page of the website >>

Didn't make the meeting? You can see the minutes from the AGM from our website and who won what at the annual awards >>

Don't forget our open dressage show is happening on Sunday 26 October. But get your entries in soon as the closing date is Saturday 18 October! There are classes from walk / trot to Elementary. Download the schedule and to see all the classes on offer >>

We're also holding our members only Christmas show on Sunday 14 December. Classes include jumping, dressage and fancy dress. It's a members only show and a great opportunity to get your young and inexperienced horses out and about. Not too much hustle and bustle and loads of friendly faces to help you out. The schedule will be posted on the shows page soon >>
Membership renewals

The 1st October marked the start of a new club year. That means it's time to renew your membership if you haven't already.

We've simplified the renewal process so all you have to do is go to the renewal page on our website and fill in a few details. Once submitted, you'll be directed to a page where you can make an instant Paypal payment for your renewal.

Don't have Paypal? We're still accepting printed forms with a cheque payment. Forms can be downloaded from the membership page on our website. These need to be sent to Lindsay Saunders, her address is on the form.
Club clothing

Last year we introduced some items of clothing that you can have embroidered with the SVRC logo. The items currently on offer include, jackets, gilets and polo shirts in a range of sizes, and all at a reasonable price.

Check out the clothing page on the website and contact Sam Piggot for more information and orders.

We've got a new blog and we're looking for our members to fill it with their horsey stories.

In our first post Fiona Hunt talks about her experience at the National Championships in Lincoln last month. Let us know if there's anything you'd like to share, we'd love to hear from you. Read our blog >>
