Last month the winners of the Nevada Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention video contest were announced. These talented Nevada high school students put together some amazing videos that highlight the dangers of prescription drug addiction.

Creating a Healthier Nevada Website Launches

Join Together Northern Nevada, along with the other members of the Nevada Statewide Coalition Partnership, are launching “Creating a Healthier Nevada,“ a campaign to help educate the public, prescribers and lawmakers about prescription drug abuse and safety. Be on the lookout for billboards, television ads and radio ads in the near future. The HealthierNV.org website is live and gaining new content every day.

E-Joint use on the rise

Smoking marijuana out of an e-cigarette is nothing new, but now one company is making the process hassle free and more discreet. The JuJu Joint is a disposable electronic marijuana cigarette or e-joint that has sole over 75,000 joints in Washington State. The company plans on expanding to Colorado, Oregon and Nevada.
