Dancer of the Month

Meet our September 2020 Dancer of the Month: Jonah Hastings! Jonah has been studying dance with the KML family for the past 3 years. Jonah was a part of the inaugural Precious Gem Line during the 2019-2020 season. She has now graduated to our Emerald Competition Line for the 2020-2021 season. She is currently studying ballet, lyrical/jazz and hip hop! She always arrives to class prepared with her proper shoes, attire and hair securely fastened. She's a strong leader in her classes and is always ready to try a new challenge! We are so proud of how much she has come out of her shell in the last few years.

Safety Precautions at the Studio:
(updated October 2020)
We want to be as careful as we can with each other during this time, as the virus is still present. With that being said, we have guidelines we must follow in order to keep all of us safe and healthy:
  1. Please have dancers arrive CHANGED and ready to dance
  2. Dancers, bring a full water bottle to class. The water station will not be available to fill up your bottles. Cups will not be handed out to dancers.
  3. If your dancer has a fever of 99.9 or higher, please keep them home.
  4. If your dancer is not feeling well for any reason, please keep them home.
  5. No parents and additional family members are allowed in the lobby during classes or in between classes. This is to keep the number of bodies in the building to a minimum.
  6. We will be wiping down commonly touched surfaces after each rehearsal hour (including cleaning dance floor) and providing hand sanitizer to the dancers before and after their respective class.
  7. Please bring your dancers as close to the start time of class and not many minutes before, as they will wait outside until it is their scheduled class time.
  8. We will be following safe distancing as much as we possibly can. We will not be touching dancers or dancers touching one another at this time.
  9. If your dancer wants to wear a mask at this time, they are welcome to. We do not want them to struggling with their breathing while they dance depending upon the type of mask they wear.
  10.  We will be providing hand sanitizer to each dancer every time they enter the studio room.
  11. If you or someone in your household has either tested positive for COVID-19 or is in close contact, the dancers need to stay home and participate in their classes through our video portal.
  12. Per the North Dakota Department of Health Guidelines surrounding COVID-19, if for any reason your dancer has to stay home for quarantine, we do have an online class option for them.  Please contact us as soon as you can so we can set this up ahead of time for you.
