Bringing Joy to the World

Christ is Prince of Peace and the source of our joy. Who could mistake the joy beaming from this young girl who is leading her Children's Rosary group in prayer? The children each take turns leading the prayers.
"[O]ur hearts are restless until they rest in You."
- St Augustine
Indeed we see our young people struggling, searching, often not even sure what they are missing. But when you see children that are resting spiritually in prayer with Our Lord, one cannot mistake the beauty and true joy that is present.
The picture above depicts the Children's Rosary at the Cathedral parish of Shendam, Nigeria.

New Children's Rosary in Co. Mayo Ireland!

The above picture was sent from the new Children's Rosary group in Sacred Heart Crossboyne, Co. Mayo Ireland. The picture of the children above was taken at their most recent meeting in November.

The group leader wrote:

We had six children, two of whom were completely new to praying the Rosary. They seemed to really enjoy it. It was very beautiful and they were all so reverend. Thank you Our Lady!

Endorsement of the Children's Rosary by Bishop Scantlebury

Recently we had a meeting with Bishop Scantlebury of the Bridgetown Diocese of Barbados. He warmly received us and was excited to see the Children's Rosary spread in his diocese and also to use the Child Consecration book in his diocese. He had some lovely words of support which can be heard in the attached video HERE or can be seen below:
Bishop Neil Scantlebury
We also have a German version of the endorsement video, which can be viewed HERE.
We met Fr. Moses K. Gikandi, shown below, who oversees the youth engagement for the Diocese of Bridgetown. We look forward to collaborating with him going forward.
Bishop Scantlebury also brought us to St. Patrick's School, where we also were able to meet Principal Marvalene Roach and Sister Dayo Ajayi who teaches catechism for the school. (see picture below)

Children's Rosary at Oasis of Peace Centre in Collon, Ireland

Ruth Byrne, one of the Children's Rosary group leaders from the Oasis of Peace Centre in Collon Ireland, sent some wonderful news from their Living Rosary Walk event on October 30. She wrote:
We invited all the children to dress up as their favourite saint and then for the children who were part of our rosary group they dressed up as characters from the joyful mysteries.

Each child received a coloured plate at the start of the walk and this represented a rosary bead and we had one little girl dressed up as Our Lady at the front on a chariot of flowers.. and she was pulled along to each of the stop off points where we announced the mystery and the children enacted the mystery (just visually) .. when it came to the third mystery the Nativity.. all angels, stars, shepherds .... were invited in.
When we got back to the centre we had some goodies and then sat down to listen to a talk on St Catherine and the Miraculous Medal and everyone received a pack with a pair of rosary beads, how to say the rosary, miraculous medal and information leaflet.

Children's Rosary at St. John the Baptist Parish in Trowbridge, England

The picture above is from the All Saints party held on Sunday, October 30. The children dressed up as saints. One can see St. John the Baptist with a jar of honey and St. Olivia holding olive branches.

Families brought food related to saints such as St. Bernadette's firewood breadsticks

St. Therese’s flowers- flower shaped biscuits

St. Stanislaus - polish cookies

Activities that were done that other Children's Rosary groups could try next year:

Decorate a saint themed pumpkin competition. Have the pumpkin depict one or several saints. Alternatively carve a cross in it. No spooky pumpkins

Saint themed games such as:
Saint Francis’ Animal rescue- Toss stuffed /cuddly animals into a basket

Saint Anthony Lost and Found

 Create Saint Lanterns

Children's Rosary Christmas Cards!

The Children's Rosary Christmas cards are back in stock through EWTN. Thank you to all who have already purchased Children's Rosary Christmas cards. We were happy to see them sell out and also happy that EWTN quickly restocked them.

This year's card took inspiration through traditional Ukrainian art of the Nativity.

The card was painted by Iris Ryan, a member of the Children's Rosary and younger sister to Abigail Ryan, who painted our prior cards. Iris is twelve years old and lives with her parents and seven siblings in Wisconsin. She is pictured below.

For each box of cards sold, a portion of the cost goes to the Children's Rosary. This helps further the mission of the Children's Rosary, which is to support the prayer lives of children and to help to bring more children to prayer. There is also mention of the Children's Rosary on the back of each card, which provides an opportunity for each card to be an open door for Our Blessed Mother.

To purchase this card through EWTN religious catalogue, click HERE.

We also have some of our Children's Rosary Christmas card collection available at Cenacle Press in Ireland; to view, click HERE. Cards are also available at Sunrise Marian Distribution in Canada as well. To view, click HERE

See Amelia, age 9, a member of the Children's Rosary from Porto, Portugal, host an interview about the Children's Rosary. She is also helping to start a Children's Rosary in her local parish with her mother in Portugal. Click HERE to watch the interview or view below:

This Advent Place a "Patiently Waiting" Sign in Your Window

Join the Children's Rosary by putting a sign in your window as a beautiful reminder of where our hearts can be found as we prepare ourselves for the coming of Christ. On Christmas replace the sign with one that reads, "Christ is Born." The picture above was sent to us last week from a family participating from Derry, Ireland. You may remember the picture they sent last year from our invitational video. Please consider sending in a picture of your Patiently Waiting sign in your window to blythe.kaufman@gmail.com
Christmas Novena

Prayer to the Miraculous Infant of Prague

In anticipation of Christmas December 25, consider saying this 9 day Novena from December 16-December 24.
O Divine Infant Jesus, Who said: "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you." Through the intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

(Make your request.)*

O Divine Infant Jesus, Who said: "Unless you become like little children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven." Grant me the simplicity and wonder, the tenderness and gentleness of a child. Fill me with innocence, hope and love. Grant me the grace that I need.

(Make your request.)

O Divine Infant Jesus, help me know how close You are to me and how powerful is Your embrace. Help me to trust that You hold the whole world in Your hand. I place my every need and care in Your hands. I ask that you fulfill my request according to Your holy will.

(Make your request.)

Miraculous Infant of Prague, have mercy on us.
* We humbly ask that you join us in praying this novena and include as one of your intentions: for all those who help the Children's Rosary through time, talent or treasure may they receive Christmas peace and joy.
This is a spiritual gift we would like to share with all those who have supported the Children's Rosary this year. In addition, a Mass will be celebrated for all the members of the Children's Rosary and all who help the Children's Rosary on December 25.

The second video explains how to run a Children's Rosary group meeting in a school. This was filmed in Birmingham, Alabama at a school that has been holding a weekly school-wide Children's Rosary since May of 2017.
