Lodging Sector Update

Added cleaning costs increased room expenses (per occupied room) for full-service hotels 20.5% in June or $10.86 compared with last June. Limited-service costs were down (POR).

Throughout the time of the pandemic, China has shown “forecasting power” when projecting the path of U.S. occupancy. However, the most recent alignment of each country’s occupancy levels tells a different story as the U.S. line has flattened in comparison with China’s acceleration.
