U.S. hotel demand jumped in week-over-week comparisons thanks to a travel boost leading into the New Year’s holiday. TSA checkpoint counts showed eight days in a two-week span with more than 1 million passengers. Substantial demand growth is not expected to continue as leisure travel once again dissipates after the holidays.
