This month’s report includes an overview of global booking trends along with occupancy, booking lead times, channels, pace, and segment mix across the following regions: the United States, Canada, Europe, Greater China, Asia Pacific (including India), the Middle East & Africa, and Latin America.

STR's logo
U.S. weekday (Monday-Wednesday) occupancy in late October increased to 69.4%, helped by group demand, which rose to its second-highest level since the start of the pandemic.
Looking ahead to the FIFA World Cup, Qatar’s hotel occupancy on the books averages out at 70% from 20 November to 18 December, according to STR’s Forward STAR data. Throughout this period, the metric drops no lower than 53% with a current peak of 83% on 26 November.

October Pulse Report: On-the-books for North America
"The opening up of international travel, increased transatlantic flight routes and the strengthening of the Dollar against the Euro and Pound has led to a drop in domestic hotel business. However, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year stay dates are showing favorable results in key cities, giving North America some cause for hope."
