Kate Henriksen '96, a veteran RLJ Lodging Trust executive, is senior vice president of investment and portfolio analysis. She is responsible for managing the underwriting process on RLJ’s potential hotel investments and for asset management of the portfolio on a strategic level.

Mark Owens '00 is an executive vice president and the head of hospitality capital markets for CBRE Hotels. He is responsible for the origination and placement of hospitality-related transactions, including debt, equity, joint venture equity, and transaction sales.

Robert M. White Jr., CRE, is the founder and president of Real Capital Analytics Inc., an international research firm that publishes the Capital Trends Monthly. Real Capital Analytics provides real time data concerning the capital markets for commercial real estate and the values of commercial properties.

Events

The 13th Annual Cornell International Real Estate Case Competition was held virtually on Friday, November 12, 2021. Thirteen teams from around the world will compete for a total of $10,000 in prize money. The final teams placed as follows:

Hotel prices continued to gain ground during the recent quarter, regaining losses incurred during the pandemic. Prices in all regions are reverting to their long-term average, with hotels in the Pacific and South Atlantic regions rising above their standardized average.
