School of Hotel Administration Professors Sheryl Kimes and Dave Roberts are conducting a survey to learn more about:
how the pandemic has impacted hotels,
the sorts of tactics deployed to get through it,
assessments of how the vaccine is going to affect hotels,
what, if anything, is different from what was expected a few months ago, and
advice for others.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete, responses will be kept confidential, and results will be shared upon completion of the study.

US hotel occupancy jumped almost 7 points from the previous week to the highest level in the country since the first week of March 2020. The 58.9% absolute occupancy was a 93.9% increase from the comparable, pandemic-affected week last year, but more importantly, represented almost 85% occupancy regained from the 2019 benchmark. There was also more improvement in average daily rate, which reached 81% of the comparable 2019 level. Highlighted by markets in Florida and Texas, U.S. occupancy ranked second on the global stage behind Mainland China.
