A Summer Treat: Two Pizzas from Two Cultures
Here are two patteren-filled illustrations for my blog series: Illustrated Middle Eastern Recipes + Illustrated Italian Recipes. One Pizza is from Italy and has a simple filo crust, while the other is a Turkish flatbread called Lahmacun in Turkey, and Sfeeha in Lebanon, and comes with a traditional pizza dough. If you're planning a trip to Puglia this summer, then you must read this post for tips on where to stay and places to go. 'Illustrated Middle Eastern Recipes' Cover Gets a New Look

You know, I created my blog to experiment with illustration ideas and to develop my food and travel illustration style. I consider everything on the blog to be 'work in progress.' That's why, every once in a while I go back and tweak some of the illustrations to better reflect where I am at in my illustration journey. The cover for this illustrated blog series has gone through quite a transformation. You can see the earlier versions below! Which one do you like best?

NEW FLICKR INSPIRATION

Haven't you heard? Last month, Verizon bought Yahoo. Soon after, Flickr (a Yahoo-owned photo-sharing platform) changed the look and feel of their users' About page. They also seem to be planning a major overhaul of the site. I'm personally very excited about this news and want to be there when Flickr finally makes a comeback! Meanwhile, check out these two recent photos from my Flickr feed, and don't forget to follow if you're on Flickr!
