Teamwork, communication and follow-up keep surfacing as essentials for seamless and prayerful handling of the holy objects central to our worship.
  
Join the Rev. Stephen McHale, the Altar Guild of Christ Episcopal Church, Alameda and the Diocesan Altar Guild for our second, small group, altar guild meeting for those in the Alameda Deanery and others who are interested.
 

Where: Christ Episcopal Church, 1700 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda
            (Corner of Santa Clara & Grand on AC Transit Route 51A)

When: Saturday, January 9th from 10:00 am to noon, small group              discussion of best practices
           Noon to 1:00 pm lunch and sharing
           1:00 pm optional tours of CEC sanctuary and sacristy
  
Thanksgiving DONATION to offset the cost of lunch
  
Get to know other altar guild members. Worship and work with us to make our ministry more visible and effective within our own congregations and across the diocese.
 
In the book “Boys in the Boat,” they learn to breathe together as one and demonstrated the remarkable heights such teamwork achieves in winning Olympic Gold and creating life-long bonds of community.
  
Bring your best experiences to share - working together with clergy as a team communicating well with mutual understanding and good follow-up
 
We will share these with other deaneries and our Bishop.
We will post them on our website and use them as the basis for presentations on altar guild clergy teamwork at conferences and retreats
