Dr Jeffrey Bratberg Pharm D., speaks to the important role that pharmacists play in responding to current and emerging public health emergency response issues, ranging from infectious disease to the prevention of opioid drug overdose.

Event description:
AHC Prepared: Topics in Emergency Preparedness is offering free "Until Help Arrives" class. (Formerly referred to as Bystander CPR). Each year over 300,000 people die in the US from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The rapid response of bystanders saves lives.

AHC Prepared: Campus Safety, Responding to an Active Shooter

Many members of the U of M MRC have attended the Campus Safety, Responding to an Active Shooter presentations through the AHC Prepared: Topics in Emergency Preparedness series.

University police department Community Outreach Officers provide these presentations to departments as well.

To request an Active Shooter presentation for your group or department,complete and submit a request form indicating you would like an active shooter presentation.

MRC Member Spotlight: Pharmaceutical Response Strike Team

The Pharmaceutical Response Strike Team is designed to respond to local and national public health emergencies that have a pharmaceutical response component.

Team Leads Chrystian Pereira, Jennifer Chen, and Angela Cortese, faculty in the College of Pharmacy, bring incredible expertise and a commitment to Public Health that has inspired many College of Pharmacy students, staff, and faculty to join them on the Pharmaceutical Response Strike Team.
