About the Advances in Architectural Geometry (AAG) Symposium Series

 

In September, the NCCR Digital Fabrication, with the full support of ETH Zurich and its Department of Architecture, hosts the fifth edition of the AAG symposia series. The symposium brings together leading experts in architecture and applied geometry to explore the potential of modern geometric computing for architectural applications. Conference Chairs are Fabio Gramazio and Matthias Kohler, both principal investigators within the NCCR Digital Fabrication.

Opportunity for Hands-on Experience in Workshops


The symposium begins with two days of practical workshops. Workshops provide participants with the opportunity to learn new skills and have hands-on experience with advanced technologies.

Conference with Impressive Presentation and Keynote Line-Up


The conference will feature 22 presentations of peer-reviewed papers. Additionally featured keynote lectures will be given by Urs B. Roth, Erik Demaine, Werner Sobek, Francis Aish, and Lord Norman Foster.

The AAG2016 Exhibition showcases objects by Erik Demaine, Urs B. Roth, BRG, GKR, the Chair of Structural Design of ETH Zurich, IBOIS from EPF Lausanne and the Chair of Structural Design of the Technical University of Munich.
