Hi there <<First Name>>,

Thank you! Thank you for supporting us on Giving Tuesday for #iGiveCatholic Day!  Because of the generosity of so many donors, we reached our goal of $80,000 (for a total of $84,680)!  Tulane Catholic was ranked 6th in the nation on for overall amount raised!  Thank you!

Today, December 8th, is normally the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception.  However, because it falls on a Sunday of Advent, the feast is moved to Monday, December 9th.  The obligation to attend Mass is removed because of the transfer of the feast to Monday.  We will still have 2 Masses tomorrow (one at 12pm and a second, with music, at 9pm).

This Thursday we'll have a service of Lessons & Carols (Advent Scripture Readings & Christmas Carols sung by the Tulane Catholic choir) beginning at 6:30pm, followed by a festive dinner to finish out the semester.  See you then!

This Week

Immaculate Conception Mass & Dinner, Monday, Dec 9
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception has been transferred to Monday, December 9th.  With the transfer, the obligation to attend Mass is removed this year.  However, there will be two Masses at Tulane Catholic that day (12pm and 9pm).  At 7pm there will be a free meal––the first of the exam period.

Lessons and Carols Service & Dinner, Thursday, Dec 12
The Tulane Catholic Choir will host an evening of carols and prayer in anticipation of Christmas on December 12 at 6:30pm in the chapel.  Come sing carols and celebrate the Advent Season.  Dinner will be served after the service.

Dominican Friars 40th Anniversary

The Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Martin de Porres (Southern USA) wish to announce the 40th anniversary of the founding of province, today, December 8th.  Since 1966 Dominican friars have served at Tulane Catholic as pastors, campus ministers, and chaplains.  Please pray for the Dominicans––for God's continued guidance and providence in the carrying out of the mission to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Southern United States.  Please pray for the men in formation and for an increase of vocations to the Southern Province.
